The US Alliance for Wildlife and Health is a diverse collective of organizations dedicated to preventing future zoonotic disease pandemics through integrated federal action to eliminate harmful wildlife interactions and to address the biodiversity and climate crises. We recognize that human, economic, and ecological health and justice are inextricably linked and that we cannot go back to business as usual. To reduce the likelihood of a future spillover event and address the numerous injustices brought to light by the current pandemic, we bring together diverse stakeholders from the conservation, domestic and global public health communities to pass federal legislation, to educate policymakers, and to support solutions to the cause and impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
